The Roots of APUPA
A journey back to pure, unadulterated tradition.
From Panagarh to Your Plate
The story of APUPA by BroSis begins in the heart of Paschim Bardhaman, West Bengal. As siblings, we grew up waiting for festivals not just for the celebrations, but for the smell of roasting ghee, jaggery, and wheat that filled our home.
Thekua has always been more than a snack. It's an emotion. It's the taste of a mother's care and the warmth of a grandmother's kitchen.
As we grew older, we realized that commercial snacks were replacing these traditional treasures. Worse, the "traditional" snacks available in markets were packed with artificial preservatives, synthetic colors, and cheap oils designed to sit on shelves indefinitely.
Our Promise of Purity
We launched APUPA to bring the true, uncompromised taste of authentic Thekua back to modern households. We made a conscious decision on day one:
- Zero Preservatives: We rely on natural baking techniques and jaggery.
- Pure Atta: No cheap refined flour (maida) fillers.
- Honest Ingredients: If our grandmother wouldn't use it, we don't put it in our recipe.
